Quotes on Essay Writing
Quotes on Essay WritingIt is amazing how many times I am asked for quotes on essay writing by college students in my office. This usually comes up during the first few weeks of college, when people begin to realize that the writing class will be taking up a lot of their time. Often they will ask what they should write about or they may simply wish to have some ideas for a personal statement.Often, it takes a whole class full of people to provide them with something useful to write about. Unfortunately, this also means that you cannot give them one single short quote.Essay writing is not always easy and writing a persuasive essay requires a lot of thought and preparation. Sometimes, the best way to get it all out into the open is to read a few quotes from the writers that you admire and make them part of your own writing habits. The most effective quotes will be written in different lines of thought, for instance this quote by J.K. Rowling 'Never say, as I did once, 'I want more.' Some thing is better than 'more' - always, somehow more satisfying, like the ultimate miracle: the mere possibility of something better.'Other good quotations could be this one by the great American poet Robert Frost, 'The first rule of poetry is to be true.' If you can find a few good quotations to inspire you and others in the same area of study as you are in, make them a part of your writing routine. You can also incorporate short quotes into your body copy and make them a part of your paper as well. As stated before, they will help you gain perspective and strength of thought and can be given to your friends and family.Essay writing is a journey and can sometimes get difficult, especially when you are confronted with a paper that you simply do not know how to finish. Sometimes it helps to come back to quotes and inspire yourself with them. This can be great for your last section of your paper or to use them to inspire yourself in the areas of your study. They may help you focus your wr iting so you can produce something of lasting value.
